Most of the time I feel like a child pretending to be a grown-up, convinced that I'm not really managing to fool anyone.

  1. A bit like they'll catch you out and realise you know nowt about what you are supposed to be doing?
If so, I can remember that.
And then gradually, gradually I found myself thinking - blimey I do know what I'm doing after all and I am a bona fidae (or as Victoria Wood says fona bidae) grown up after all!!
The same happened when I started teaching - I felt sure they'd find me out as useless - but no I just got more responsibilities - lol!

  2. Don't we all feel like that, all of the time? That's what I tell myself so I don't spontaneously combust with the stress of it!

  3. You need to keep on pretending until he is 18 and then you can stop. You would be surprised how many people you can fool but in my experience you never fool your mother.
